I've been going to Minabella for a year and a half now and the experience is always excellent! Daisy is my to go to and she always does an incredible job whether I bring in a picture to replicate or have a vague idea and have her do something original. Daisy is the only person to get my nails to stay on for weeks when I couldn't keep them on for more than 5 days in the 10+ years I've been getting acrylic nails. She always gives an incredible pedicure and hand massage! Everyone that works there is lovely, but if you want nails that stay on with amazing designs, go to Daisy.

Update: I’m pretty upset with how my nails feel after yesterday. In addition to my manicure, I got a pedicure. The guy cut my nails too short and my left big toe already feels sore and is getting in grown. You can see where the natural nail was and how short it is now.The first time I went here, I was impressed. I had MiLee that time. This time, I had a gentleman and it felt extremely rushed. I asked for rounded almond shape. I ended up with very short, rounded nails that weren’t painted all the way and some spots of nail polish on my skin.

The first three photos are from the day I got them done. They look like they’ve already grown out. And the cuticle work was very subpar. And then the 4th photo is a week after I had gotten them done. Already chipping away. And I got shellac! I don’t get my nails done very often so it was a very special occasion and I was really looking forward to the massage. I would have paid extra for the massage, but it was included so I thought great! But I didn’t even realize the massage was happening because it was just kind of running hands up and down my legs and feet with no pressure and no technique. It made me really sad ):I booked the place for a bridal party. My younger sister was getting married! We had a party of 7 and I had asked in advance over the phone if we could all be seated together and they said yes and I filled out a special form and everything. But when we got there, two girls in our party (who don’t even know each other) were put on the other side of the room from the rest of us! I felt so bad for them ):Online they have these gorgeous cocktails and drinks that look so luxurious and then you get there and they just give it to you in a plastic disposable water cup.It also felt very rushed and felt like they didn’t really care. My hand massage was so rushed. I was almost relieved when it was over because it was giving me so much anxiety. I could really feel that she didn’t want to be there and was just trying to get it done. My normal nail place (which isn’t in Omaha, I was just visiting) makes everyone feel very pampered and looked after. I didn’t really feel that at this place. :\If you’re reading this, I would definitely book a different place :\

I typically don’t like to post negative reviews but it’s been a few days and my experience still feels off to me. I’ve had a few pedicures prior at this location and every time the color I really want isn't available but I have a back up color in case. This time the back up color they didn’t have either and my tech grabbed a handful of colors and irritatingly asked me if any of these would work. Once the pedicure started it was fine until the callous remover part. **full disclaimer I am heavier set** but she wouldn’t even touch my feet to stabilize while she was “grating” them. It was very awkward as I was wearing a dress and had my purse in my lap with the massage chair going she kept telling me to hold my leg up higher… my calf started to spasm and I couldn’t hold my foot still. At that point she told me she can’t hold my foot, I’m way too big… I have never felt so belittled and humiliated. I get my toes done every 8-10 weeks and I’ve never had anyone tell me this. Also I’m more than aware that the middle of the foot test can come up to help hold feet. I’ve never had a tech use it on me but I’ve seen others use it. At this point I only went to minabella to get a nail color I’ve never seen at other salons but I don’t think I’ll be back after that since they never seem to have that color in stock anyways. I felt guilty to not tip her so I gave $5 instead of my normal $10. Long story short I paid $80 for a shellac pedicure to be insulted and get a color I don’t really care for.

I got to my acrylic fill appointment about 10 minutes early, at 6:50pm, with my book, expecting to wait. This was my first experience at Minabella. However, 20 minutes passed, it was 10 minutes past my appointment time, and I still hadn’t been taken back. At this point I was concerned as the salon closes in 50 minutes & I wasn’t sure that would be enough time to get my nails done. Finally around 7:15pm, my tech, Daisy, brought me back to her area, apologizing and clearly frazzled. There was another girl getting her nails done still at Daisy’s station. She explained that she messed up the other client’s polish color & had to redo it and apologized for running late. I assured her it was okay, and continued to sit there for another 10 minutes. Around 7:25pm, my appointment finally began, and Daisy began clipping off my old acrylics where they had been lifting. My right thumb had been lifting the most, and I noticed that she didn’t clip the old acrylic off all the way through where it was lifting. I was concerned about this meaning the new fill would lift easy, but I’m new to getting my nails done (this was my second set), so I just trusted the process. The whole time, Daisy was visibly frazzled and rushing through the appointment. She was being very rough on my nails as well. When she was hand filing the new acrylic into an almond shape (because I had her shorten the old set), she was doing it so hard that I was in genuine pain. I am very non-confrontational though and didn’t say anything and I know that’s on me. When she got to the design portion, she messed up by putting a French tip on every nail. I told her it was totally fine, it was cute anyways, and we could just put like 2 flowers on each of my ring fingers. She proceeded to do some of the most elementary looking flowers of all time & added dots that I did not ask for around them. At this point, it’s already a bit after close, there’s no one else in there but the 2 kind front desk gals, and I’m tired and just want to go home as well, so I again let it slide. I should also add that there was NO sanitation process for anything used on my nails. Old files, used and dusty clippers & cuticle cutters, unclean acrylic brush, used dremel bit, no ain’t covered nail art tool, etc. The work station and everything near it was also COVERED in nail dust like it hadn’t been cleaned in a few days to the point where anywhere me or my body touched got covered in dust. Absolutely unsanitary and disgusting. Yes maybe I should have said something, but I shouldn’t have had to. This is a legal requirement to follow sanitation expectations when you’re a licensed salon with licensed techs. This was a case of “this is what I asked for, and this is what I got” when I left, but the nails looked fine enough from far away (don’t look up close though lol) & I was leaving for vacation in 2 days. The next two days, my nails were in immense pain from how rough she was, and my cuticle area was red, swollen, itchy, and on fire. After 2 days, these symptoms went away. Fast forward 6 days after getting my nails done, my right thumb is indeed lifting terribly. Then 3 days later on day 9, I’m getting ready for bed & see a dark spot under the acrylic on my left pointer finger. That nail was barely lifting (only started lifting in the last day or so), but I was worried it was a greenie (nail fungus), so I ripped it off. Sure as heck, a terrible nail fungus on my pointer. I ripped my thumb off too because I know trapped moisture can cause this, and thankfully no greenie (but that nail wasn’t going to last more than a few days anyways). Overall, super disappointed in this experience and now I can’t get my nails done because I have a fungus🙃 What a waste of $60 for nails that lasted a week and gave me a fungus and the rings of fire where the acrylic started by the cuticle. First picture is what I asked for. Pictures #2 & #3 are the day after of what I got and you can see how red & inflamed my fingers are. Pictures #4 & #5 are from today (day 11 after getting them done & 2 days after taking the 2 nails off).

Bon *nailed* it! I've only had two manicures in my life, and both were by Bon. He's incredibly friendly and makes the whole experience so comfortable. He took the inspo photos I brought and went above and beyond to exceed my expectations. Highly recommend!

Updated to add my nail chipped 5 days after getting done. WOW.This place is so overrated. They are misleading and overpriced. I have gave it numerous shots on multiple different occasions, and I don’t understand the hype. They charge $5 for shaping your nails lol which makes zero sense. You have to shape ANY NAIL? then $10 to remove my nails, rather than just put two new nails on???Why wasn’t any of the additional costs just spoken about upfront? A full set is actually $60 if you consider the “shape fee” - why add all the extra fees? It’s very misleading and overpriced, and my nails are way shorter than I requested :( bummed out for spending money and not happy with the results. I usually get crazy designs for this price. $70 for plain nails, no design, it’s stupid. Go anywhere else.

This review is for TyTy! She has been doing my nails and does an amazing job. She is sweet and kind. If I have a suggestion she will make sure to do it. Today I came in bc I wasn’t happy with the color I picked last time and she made the change without hesitation and no extra charge. Thank you!!
